Liz always knew she would create
her own business. After working as head hunter and getting
acquainted with the Bay Area maritime community, she founded NBMC.
But it was her life experience that led her to this pivotal point in
her career. She loves sewing and sailing, so starting her own
business and merging these two life-long passions was a natural
course. She has sewn since she was five years old and her mother
said that she learned to sew before she could write. As a child, she
would use the scraps from her sewing machine to make her dolls
clothing. For three years in high school, Liz studied architecture,
which laid the foundation for the distinct ability to design three
dimensionally. This passion for design, esthetics and fabrics merged
into crafting beautiful yacht interiors. As a boater, Liz owns a
1951 "Maya", MORC, which she races annually in the Master Mariner
Regatta. She is very active in the sailing community and is
currently serving on the steering committee of
